Nominations for 2026 will open October 2026!

The purpose of the Women of Outstanding Achievement Award is to recognize and honor women of diverse cultures, roles, and accomplishments who have demonstrated commitment to the betterment of the Abilene region through significant voluntary contributions.

The deadline for nominations for the 2025 Class of Honorees is midnight December 31, 2024. The nomination window will open on October 1, 2024.

Do you know a Woman of Outstanding Achievement?

• A woman who has inspired women and girls desiring to achieve their potential and overcome barriers they face.

• A woman who is a person of influence and integrity who has made significant contributions to her community.

• A woman who has excelled in her chosen occupational field or field of Community Service.

Directions

Online nominations are preferred. Please document the service performed and the impact that service has had on individuals or organizations in the metro region. Be specific, including the length of service and the innovation, leadership, and extent of the volunteerism on which the Women of Outstanding Achievement Award is based. Document the service performed and the results of providing that service (i.e. Director, Chair, Co-Chair, Board Member; include details and responsibility of position). Please be concise and do not attach additional information; photos and scanned documents will not be accepted. Do not send multiple forms. One nomination is sufficient.

• Examples of how the Nominee inspired women/girls to achieve their potential/overcome barriers including how the Nominee has made a difference in the lives of those she works with

• Examples of how the Nominee is a catalyst for change in our community including how she has worked to address community needs (including any collaborative efforts) and how she motivates others to join her
